FINNEY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday in Finney County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Ford F150 driven by Cynthia Calzadillas-Marquez, 32, Garden City, was northbound on 8th Street at West Fair Street.
The pickup struck an eastbound 2022 Yamaha YZF Motorcycle driven by Gabriel E. Reyes, 30, Garden City, who failed to yield at the stop sign.
Reyes was transported to St. Catherine's Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Calzadillas-Marquez and passengers in the pickup were not injured. Reyes was wearing a helmet, according to the KHP.
