Kansas woman accused of role in robbery, murder

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a shooting death have arrested a second suspect.

Just after 8a.m. April 19, police responded to a shooting in the 3700 Block of South Park Court in Topeka, according to Police Lt. Donna Eubanks.

They found 22-year-old Cody P . Cooper with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

As a result of the investigation, police reported on Friday the arrest of 26-year-old Kavshun Jerome Boykin. He is being held on requested charges of murder in the first degree, aggravated burglary and theft.

Late Tuesday, police investigators also arrested 25-year-old Lolita Bradford of Topeka on requested charges of Conspiracy to commit, Murder in the 1st degree; Intentional and premeditated, Conspiracy to commit, Aggravated burglary; Dwelling for felony, theft, DV, or sexually motivated, crime, and Conspiracy to commit, Theft >$1,500 <$25,000 From Building. She is being held without bond.

According to the Kansas Department of Corrections Boykin has three previous convictions for robbery.
