JCHS squads compete in track at Topeka Seaman

The Junction City High School girls track team finished 4th with 62 points and the boys team 8th with 43 points at the Bob Camien / Claudia Welch Invitational hosted by Topeka Seaman High School on Monday. Manhattan won the boys team title with 111 and Great Bend the girls team title with 76 points.

For the Junction City Lady Jays highlights included:

--Gracie Erichsen 1st in the discus, 132'1"

--Lorna Rae Pierce 1st in the 1600 meters, 5:12.01

--Anna Fontaine 2nd in the 1600 meters, 5:20.06 and 1st in the 3200 meters, 11:28.90

--Daniella Okorie 4th in the triple jump, 36'2.5 and 6th in the 100 meters, 12.89

For the Junction City boys highlights included:

--Joshua Flanagan 2nd in the discus, 156'10"

--Chris Jackson 3rd in the shotput 47'10.5"

--Ethan Fontaine 4th in the 3200 meters, 9:44.09

--William Dee 6th in the 3200 meters, 9:48.58

--Jamarcus Vornes 5th in 400 meters, 49.81

--Keaton Savah, Jalen Morgan, Noah Maldonado, Jermaine Garo, 4 x 100 meter relay 7th, 43.83
