TEXAS COUNTY, Okla. — A Kansas man died in a small plane crash just after 9:30p.m. Saturday in Texas County, Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a fixed wing, single engine Cessna 172 piloted by Victor Mendoza, 46, Liberal, Kansas, crashed approximately ten miles northwest of Hooker, Oklahoma.
Mendoza was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no others on board the plane. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
