BUTLER COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities including the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and El Dorado Police are investigating a shooting that critically injured a woman.
Just after 1a.m. Wednesday, police responded to report of a shooting in the 600 block of west Olive in El Dorado, according to Police Chief Mike Holton.
First responders found a 38-year-old woman who had been shot at a home. Butler County EMS transported the woman to a Wichita hospital where she was reported in critical condition, according to Holton.
Holton asked that anyone with information on the shooting to contact police. Police have not released the victim's name.
