GREENWOOD COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 11:30p.m. Friday in Greewood County.
On Sunday night, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Nissan Altima driven by Charles R. Rogers II, 61, Severy, was eastbound on U.S. 400 four miles east of Severy.
The car traveled left of center, sideswiped a westbound 2005 Freightliner semi driven by James Deloach, 29, Millen, Georgia, and the struck a 2022 Ford Utility Truck driven by Merlyn R. Ramsey, 48, Fredonia, head-on.
Rogers was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the Sedgwick County Forensics Center. EMS transported Ramsey to Fredonia Regional Medical Center. Deloach was not injured. The KHP had incomplete seat belt usage information.
