State's largest school district will start 6-12th grades online

WICHITA —The Wichita Board of Education approved the "Return to School" plan to allow OnSite and MySchool Remote for PreK-5th grade students and MySchool Remote only for 6th grade-12th grade students during their meeting Thursday evening, according to the district web site.

The decision will last 9 weeks with the option for the district to convene the COVID Advisory Committee to request a change if conditions warrant.

Students enrolled in Education Imagine Academy will continue learning in that virtual model regardless of the level of restriction designated by the Board of Education.

All school activities will be remote only. This means no all-school activities, and no high-risk activities, including football, wrestling, choir, band, and JROTC.
