Kansas City police ID two shot to death in car

KANSAS CITY (AP) — Authorities identified on Friday the man and woman who were found dead from gunshot wounds inside a car a day earlier in Kansas City.

The Kansas City Police Department said in a news release that they were Raymond Trimble, 29, and Emonnie Nunez, 18, both of Kansas City.

Officers were called to the scene early Thursday after a caller reported a suspicious vehicle with someone inside. Police found the two people shot to death inside the vehicle and are investigating the deaths as a double homicide.

Officers were called to the scene early Thursday after a caller reported a suspicious vehicle with someone inside, police spokesman Sgt. Jacob Becchina said.

Police found the two people shot to death inside the vehicle, Becchina said.

Detectives are trying to determine if the victims lived in the area and owned the car they were found in, he said.
