The Geary County Sheriff and Junction City Fire Dive Team have been conducting swift water dive and light salvage recovery training this week under the direction of Dive Rescue International personnel. There was river training on the north side of Junction City on Wednesday and at Milford Lake on Friday.

Sheriff Dan Jackson said the dive team does a minimum of eight hours of training per month. Now, these advanced courses, we try to get a couple of those in a year where we'll bring in instructors and continue to expand their expertise."

The dive team includes members from both the Junction City Fire Department and Geary County Sheriff's Departments.
