The Northeast Kansas Regional Notification System has announced that motorists need to avoid a stretch of U.S.Highway 24. It is shut down early Wednesday morning between Wamego and Belvue in Pottawatomie County. Find another route of travel.
The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Department said the road closure was due to an accident.
