
SEDGWICK COUNTY—A Kansas woman accused in a stabbing made her first court appearance in the case June 9.
Mykala McAlpine, 20, of Wichita, is charged with aggravated battery, according to Sedgwick County District Attorney.
Just before 2:30 a.m. June 5, police responded to a residence in the 500 Block of East Marion in Wichita, according to Officer Charley Davidson. They found a 19-year-old victim with a number of stab wounds.
EMS transported the man to a local hospital for treatment and police arrested McApline.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for June 17, according to the district attorney. She was jailed on $75,000 bond and is no longer in custody.
