Just after 9a.m. Sunday, a police officer attempted to stop a 1995 GMC 1500 pickup in the 200 block of Oakdale Drive in Salina, as no license plate was displayed, according to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester.

The officer initiated his lights and siren as the vehicle did not stop, and a pursuit ensued as follows.

At the intersection of West Harsh Avenue and North 10th Street, the vehicle struck a Saline police patrol vehicle had just pulled into the intersection, according to Forrester.

The pickup traveled up into the yard at 1000 North 10th Street and was disabled.
