CRAWFORD COUNTy— Law enforcement authorities are investigating the discovery of decomposed human remains in rural southeast Kansas.

Someone out for a walk found the skeletal remains Monday&nbsp; near Kansas 126 and 80th Street, according to the Crawford County Sheriff's Department.

 The release said the identity of the person and the cause of death aren’t known.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation responded and processed the scene. The remains to Frontier Forensics in Kansas City for examination to determine identification and cause of death.
