SEDGWICK COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 4:30p.m. Tuesday in Sedgwick County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Jeffrey M. Hazen, 53, Wichita, was northbound on Interstate 235 just north of West Street.
A trailer from the pickup came unhitched, crossed the median and struck a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Sandy Reyes, 31, Wichita, on the driver side.
Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene. Hazen and a passenger in the pickup were not injured. The KHP did not report complete seat belt information.
