COWLEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating more counterfeit cash in Kansas.

On Thursday, the Arkansas City Police Department learned of counterfeit bills making their way through vendors and other local businesses during the Arkalalah Festival, according to the police department.

The bill is similar to others recovered in the community. The paper does feel different from normal currency. There is an area whited-out on both the front and back of the suspect bills.

As a vendor, business owner or cashier, please take a moment to inspect bills larger that $20 and always feel free to call police if you need assistance.

If you have information about these bills, please contact us or text COWLEYTIPS to 847411 to make an anonymous tip to Cowley County Crime Stoppers You could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2500.
