RENO COUNTY—Authorities are working to determine the cause of a Monday house fire in Hutchinson.
Just after 4:30 a.m. crews responded to a fire in a home at 541 East Avenue C in Hutchinson, according for Fire Chief Steven Beer.
When they arrived, crews saw fire was venting from a bedroom window on the east side of the single-story house.
One adult and one child got out safely thanks to working smoke detectors. Fire crews were able to keep the fire down to the single bedroom. Smoke damage was noted throughout the house.
There were no injuries reported
