
KANSAS CITY—Officials are investigating the cause of a building fire in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just before 5p.m. crews responded to a reported commercial fire located in the 3100 block of Troost Avenue, according to Battalion Chief Riley Nolan.
Crews reported heavy smoke showing on arrival, and initiated an offensive fire attack with two hand lines advanced into the building. Companies on scene conducted searches throughout the building, which came back all clear. The fire was placed under control at 5:06 p.m. Crews completed overhaul operations and extinguished hot spots through the evening.
No injuries werfe reported at this incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation by KCFD. Dangerous Buildings and City Planning has been requested.
