JOHNSON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 6:30p.m. Friday in Johnson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Honda Odyssey driven by Kong Yang, 59, Kansas City, Kansas, was southbound on Interstate 435 under 95th Street bridge in Lenexa. The minivan drifted off the roadway and struck the bridge pillar.
Yang was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Forensic Medical. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
