32 hospitalized after shuttle bus crash in Missouri

GASCONADE COUNTY— people were injured in an accident just before 11a.m. Saturday in Gasconade County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Freightliner M Line Shuttle bus driven by a 45-year-old Herrman, Missouri man was westbound on MO 100 just west of Eagle Nest Driver. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. The driver overcorrected and the bus traveled off the left side of the road and struck a  ditch.

The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was air-lifted to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

EMS transported 31 others on board to area hospitals. Eighteen were sent to Herrman Area District Hospital.  The occupants were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.  Herrman, Missouri is approximately 200 miles east of Kansas City.
