KANSAS CITY —On Monday night, Kansas City Fire Rescue companies were requested to assist the Liberty Fire Department with a trench rescue, according to a social media report from the KCFD.
Crews worked together for nearly four hours to safely remove the worker from the trench and transfer him to an awaiting ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
"A great, coordinated effort involving multiple agencies and resources, including the City of Liberty Public Utilities, whose assistance was critical to the success of the operation." Authorities released no additional details including the condition of the man rescued.
