I.C.A.R.E. has undertaken a Canopy Project which will result in two 16 x 16 SkyWay Cantilever Canopy Coverings in the Multigenerational Playground Fitness Equipment Area at Playground Park this fall.

I.C.A.R.E. raised $6,000 for the project through community donations from the 2019 Greater Geary Community Foundation Match Day fundraiser, along with other community donors, said I.C.A.R.E. Executive Director Vickie Bobbit. 

Funds will be matched by the City of Junction City. Equipment is being purchased through ATHCO, LLC and installed by Junction City Parks and Recreation, said Ed Lazear, Parks &amp; Recreation Director.
