BUCHANAN COUNTY—Two people died in a head-on crash just after 6a.m. Friday in Buchanan County, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Chevy 3500 driven by 46-year-old Joshua Gladieux of Leavenworth, Kansas, was northbound on Route A four miles south of St. Joseph.
The truck crossed the centerline. A southbound 2014 Ford Fiesta driven by Alex D. Lewis, 20, St. Joseph, and the Chevy collided head-on.
Two passengers in the Ford identified as Alexander L. Brown, 19 and a 14-year-old boy both of St. Joseph were pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Meierhoffer Funeral Home.
An air ambulance transported Brown to KU Medical Center. Gladieux told first responders he would seek medical treatment later. Brown was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
