Update: Suspect in custody after escape from Kan. hospital

JOHNSON COUNTY —Authorities searching for an inmate who walked away from an exam at Olathe Medical Center Monday reported just after 11a.m. they had him in custody, according to a social media report from  the Johnson County Sheriff's Department.

Elijah Naves, 27, was last seen at 4:30 a.m. Monday. He was in custody on aggravated robbery charges. 

Deputies released no additional details late Monday morning.

Elijah Naves, 27, was last seen at 4:30 a.m. Monday and was wearing a green hospital gown with blue and white stripped jail issued pants, according to a media release from the Johnson County Sheriff's department.

Naves was in custody on aggravated robbery charges. His last direction of travel was south of the Medical Center at 20333 West 151st in Olathe.

Authorities reminded the public, if you see him, do not contact Neves but call the sheriff's office at 913-782-0720 or call 911.
