
BROWN COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas sex offender on new allegations.
Just after 4:30p.m. July 23, sheriff's deputies initiated an investigation on a Registered Offender out of Compliance at Pemberton Village Apartments in Hiawatha, according to Brown County Sheriff John Merchant.
After speaking with the individual in question, 58-year-old Sean Davidson, it was determined that he had failed to meet the requirement of the Offender Registry Act and was subsequently arrested.
A short time later, a search warrant was granted for Apartment #8 and assisted by Hiawatha police, deputies located marijuana grinders, THC items and other paraphernalia.
Davidson 57 of Hiawatha was jailed on requested charges of Violation of the Offender Registry Act, Felony Possession of Marijuana and Possession of DrugParaphernalia.
Davidson has been listed as a registered sex offender since a conviction in 2003 for Aggravated indecent solicitation of child; <14 yoa to commit/submit to sex, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
