ATCHISON COUNTY, Kan.—Law enforcement are investigating an injury accident that occurred just after 12:30a.m. early Saturday in Atchison.
A 2019 Honda pickup driven by Joshua Hosier, 42, Atchison, was westbound on Kansas Avenue in Atchison, according to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson. A 2001 Toyota Highlander driven by Joshua Campbell, 18, Atchison, was southbound on 14th Street. The two vehicles collided at the intersection of 14th and Kansas Avenue.
EMS arrived on the scene and examined and treated Campbell and a 21-year-old passenger for minor injuries but they were not transported.
Hosier had fled the scene on foot but went to Police headquarters a short time later. EMS later transported him to Amberwell Hospital for treatment of injuries that he sustained in the accident.
Charges are pending against Hosier, according to Wilson.
