Sheriff: Kansas driver found unconscious in running car

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan.—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after an unusual traffic stop.

Just before 6:00 p.m. May 4, deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area near Anew Healthcare, at 7th and Montana in Holton for a report of an unconscious individual in the driver’s seat of a running Chevrolet Impala, according to Sheriff TIm Morse.

Upon arrival, deputies located the individual and conducted an investigation. A probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia.

The driver, identified as Miranda Linn Minner, 34, of Holton, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, possession of opiate narcotics, felony possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
