SEDGWICK COUNTY—Police have released the name of the teen who died in an accident Saturday in Wichita.
Just before 7:30p.m., a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Aaron Franco of Wichita was eastbound in the 700 block of E. 17th St N, according to Officer Kris Gupilan. Franco lost control and the vehicle struck a utility pole.
First responders found Franco inside the vehicle unconscious. EMS transported him to a local hospital where he were pronounced deceased.
Speed and impairment are believed to be contributing factors, according to Gupilan. Police were still working to learn the circumstances of the crash.
