SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal December car crash have made an arrest.
According to Topeka Police spokesperson Rosie Nichols, just after 2a.m. December 30, a passenger car driven by Justice R. Cox, 23, Topeka was westbound in the 100 Block of SE 37th Street in Topeka.
The car left the road, struck a utility pole and came to rest in a nearby front yard. One occupant identified as Brett M. Joynt, 23, of Topeka died from his injuries. Two others were injured.
