SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are ivestigating a deadly hit-and-run.
Just after 10:30 p.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to the area of 13th and Mosely in Wichita for a report of an assault call, according to Officer Kris Gupilan.
First responders located the victim who was unconscious and had injuries lying on the sidewalk. Fire and EMS administered life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Investigators from the Wichita Police Department Accident Follow-up Section and the Critical Accident Team responded to the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was struck by a motor vehicle. The circumstances leading up to the collision are still under investigation.
