SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities in Kansas have assisted in arresting a sex crime suspect.
Last week, the Schoharie County New York Sheriff's Office contacted officials in Kansas about a possible wanted felon located in Shawnee County, according to a media release.
The 28-year-old suspect identified as Briad D. Kosier, was wanted for an alleged sex crime against a minor.
Deputies with the Shawnee County Fugitive Warrant Unit located the Kosier and took him into custody without incident.
He remains in the Shawnee County Department of Corrections waiting for extradition. The bond warrant, according to online jail records is $250,000.
