
TOPEKA–Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on weapons charges after a joint investigation between the Topeka Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was issued on a residence in the 400 block of SE Rodgers Street in Topeka, according to police spokesperson Gretchen Spiker.
At the residence, officers took Rodolfo V. Arzate, 42 of Topeka into custody. They also recovered 26 firearms.
Arzate was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of 26 counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Interference with LEO and Topeka Bench Warrants, according to Spiker.
