KANSAS CITY—The suspect involved in the abduction of his young daughters after he allegedly committed a homicide on Sunday is in custody, according to Kanas City Police.

Jordan Owsley, 27,  turned himself to authorities on Monday morning, according to Captain Leslie Foreman with the KCPD.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified Owsley as a suspect in a fatal shooting of 38-year-old Marvin Williams at the scene of the child abduction. Owsley then took his two daughters from the 1300 block of East 89th Street. That led authorities to issue the Sunday evening Amber Alert.

Authorities found the 7-year-old and 4-year-old safe at a relative’s house and also located the suspect vehicle, a white Kia Optima.

Police released no additional details.
