Kan. deputies capture drug suspects after high-speed chase

JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects following a weekend pursuit

Just before 2a.m. Nov. 13, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was notified that the PBPN Police were in pursuit with a vehicle near 174th and L. Road, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

The black Saturn approached K-16 Highway, headed east into Holton and east on K-116 Highway. A Jackson County Deputy deployed a tire deflation device which eventually disabled the Saturn in the 14000 block of K-116 Highway.

Deputies placed two of the four occupants under arrest. The driver, Dustin Dean Benton, 45, of Meriden was arrested on requested charges that include possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony flee and eluding and traffic charges.

A passenger, Kristina Marie Arb, 56, Olathe is jailed on requested charges that include possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The Holton Police Department assisted with the capture of these suspects.
