Police found meth, marijuana at Kansas home with kids

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on drug charges.

On Tuesday, members of the Topeka Police Department Narcotics Unit served a search warrant on a home in the 3600 Block SE Colorado Avenue related to an ongoing investigation, according to Lt. Ronnie Connell.

While conducting the search warrant, officers located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

As a result, Richard Belisle, 44 years of age, and Julia Mannell, 42 years of age, were transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections.

Richard Belisle is being held on requested charge of Distribution of methamphetamine, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Aggravated Endangering a Child, and Driving on a suspended license.

Julia Mannell is jailed on requested charges of Possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, Aggravated Endangering a Child and Possession of marijuana.
