OSAGE COUNTY—A Kansas school district superintendent is now on administrative leave following an arrest.
Just before 5p.m. Friday, police arrested 53-year-old Bradley Marcotte, the superintendent of school at USD 421 in Lyndon, according to online jail records.
He was jailed on requested charges of child endangerment and interference with a law enforcement officer.
Just after 7p.m. Friday, he met the requirement of a $2,500 bond and was released.
On Monday, USD 421 reported in a media release signed by school board president Bryant Derley, "The school board voted to place Marcotte on administrative leave. We want to thank our staff for acting quickly and following safety procedures to protect students and keep them out of harm’s way." Law enforcement have not released details on specifics of what prompted the arrest.
