ELLSWORTH COUNTY —Four people were injured in an accident just before 4a.m. Saturday in Ellsworth County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Toyota 4-Runner driven by Kelly A. Ferris, 24, Carbondale, was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of Kansas 156.
The driver lost control of the vehicle. It entered median, struck a drainage culvert, became airborne, rolled and came to rest on its top in the median.
EMS transported Ferris to a Wichita hospital. EMS transported passengers in the Toyota Jeffrey S. Swisher, 30, Emmitt; Merritt Swisher, 2, and Durban Swisher, 4-months, both of Carbondale to Salina Regional Medical Center.
The adults were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
