
FINNEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new charges after home visit with the parolee.
Just after 4p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 2800 block of Terrace Place to assist Special Agents from the Kansas Department of Corrections, according to a media release.
The KDOC Agents were conducting a home visit on 20-year-old Jalen Paxson of Garden City, who was a parolee within their agency and a convicted felon.
During a search of the residence, Officers found suspected THC, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm. Police arrested Paxson on requested charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm (F), Drug Paraphernalia (F), and Possession of THC.
Paxson has previous convictions for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated endangering a child, according to the Kansas Dept. of Corrections.
