BARTON COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just after 11:30a.m. Thursday in Barton County.

According to Sheriff Brian Bellendir, a 2015 Jeep Patriot driven by Megan Grieve, 38, Great Bend, was westbound on Kansas 156 and rear-ended a 2014 Kia Sorento driven by John Hartley, 73, Wichita, who and had stopped to make a left turn onto Northeast 110 Avenue.

The impact forced the Kia into eastbound lane. An eastbound Ford F550 truck driven by Kevin Houser of Raymore, Missouri, struck the Kia and overturned into the north ditch.

EMS transported Hartley, and his passenger Marilyn Hartley, 78  Wichita, to Clara Barton Medical Center in Hoisington with non-life-threatening injuries.

EMS also transported Grieve to the hospital in Great Bend with non-life-threatening injuries. Houser and a passenger in his truck, Kevin Bossaller, age 57, also of Raymore Missouri, were not injured in the collision.

Occupants of all of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to Bellendir.
