EDWARDS COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 3 p.m. Wednesday in Edwards County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by Terrance D. Brake, 51, Kinsley, was northbound on U.S. 183 at County Road O.
The pickup crossed the center line and struck the trailer and load of a 2013 Kenworth semi driven by Jared L. Schemper, 43, Holdrege, Nebraska.
Brake was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to McKillip Funeral Home in Kinsley. Schemper was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
