Kansas felon jailed for alleged threat with knife

HUTCHINSON —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon wanted on a warrant who was arrested Wednesday.

 Blake Kayden Bryant, 22, Hutchinson, allegedly threatened a 48-year-old man with a knife and attempted to steal his vehicle in the 1600 block of East 17th Avenue in Hutchinson Tuesday evening, according to police. 

Authorities found him after a warrant was issued for his arrest on Wednesday.

Brant is being held on requested charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. He also faces possible charges of aggravated arson and criminal damage  from earlier incidents Tuesday evening.

Bryant has previous convictions for robbery and aggravated robbery, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections. He is being held on a bond of $143,000.
