FINNEY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 9p.m. Monday in Finney County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Peterbilt semi driven by Torres Jaime Barroso, 30, Dennison, IA., was eastbound on U.S. 50 nine miles east of Garden City.
The semi crossed the centerline and struck a westbound 2007 Lincoln MKZ driven by Monica Dawn Walker, 45, Ulysses.
The semi came to rest in the west bound lane and the Lincoln came to rest on the north shoulder facing west.
Walker was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the morgue at St. Catherines. Barroso was not injured.
