SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a corrections officer for an alleged sexual relationship with a juvenile inmate, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
On Dec. 15, officials arrested 24-year-old Catherine Michelle Dutcher. She remains in the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on a $10,000 bond, according to online jail records.
The Kansas Dept. of Corrections hired Dutcher in August. She was fired on the day deputies arrested her. The case will be presented to the Shawnee Co. District Attorney.
