BROWN COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man for alleged child sex crimes.
Just after 11:30p.m. August 18, the Brown County Sheriff's office responded to 911 call involving a disturbance at a home in the 200 Block of Lodge Road in Hiawatha, according to Sheriff John Merchant.
Deputies arrested 23-year-old Dakota Wilhite of Fairview on a requested charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
After further investigation in conjunction with Hiawatha Police, officials Wilhite was accused of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child under the age of 14, use of a communication facility to commit a felony and sexual exploitation of a child. The case will be presented to the Brown County Attorney.
Wilhite posted bond and is no longer in custody, according to online jail records.
