CORRECTION: Man injured after SUV rolls on Kansas highway

EDITOR'S NOTE:  The original story, as published below, incorrectly indicated Daniel T. Maxwell, 45, Oklahoma City, died from his injuries based on initial information from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

While he was injured and treated at St. Francis Hospital, he survived.

NEOSHO COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 7p.m. Sunday in Neosho County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Chevy Tahoe driven by Daniel T. Maxwell, 45, Oklahoma City,  was northbound on U.S. Highway 169 just north of 35th Street.

The SUV left the roadway to the east and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle reentered the roadway and rolled into the west ditch.

EMS transported Maxwell to St. Francis Hospital where he died. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
