Blue Jay tennis competes at Centennial League Tournament

 The Junction City Blue Jays had their most success in singles at the Centennial League Tournament on Monday in Topeka as Hayden Diestelkamp finished 7th on the day with a 3-2 record and Thomas Norris finished in 11th place with a 2-3 record. 

According to coach Matt Mikheel, in doubles Nate Green and Alex Matthews teamed up on the day to win 3 matches and earn a 13th place finish.  Alan Leis and Nick Beier also represented the Blue Jay tennis team in doubles. 

Overall, the Blue Jays finished 6th as a team, with Manhattan winning the team championship, followed by Topeka West and Washburn Rural.  The Blue Jay tennis team competes in their regional tournament this Saturday at the Ralph Wulz Riverside Tennis Center in Wichita.  Matches will begin at 10 am.
