JOHNSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities continue investigating several "jugging" cases around 95th Street near Quivira in Johnson County, according to Lenexa Police.
A jugging case is when a victim is followed from a bank after making a withdrawal, then runs errands. The thieves will wait for the victim to go into a store, and break into the victim's car to steal the cash.
This is happening in broad daylight, in busy shopping centers. Police reminded, "don't leave cash or valuables inside your car where it is easily accessible. Be aware of your surroundings at all times, and be especially discrete when exiting a bank with a withdrawal."
