MILLER COUNTY—Two people drown at Lake of the Ozarks on Saturday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported 24-year-old Uthej Kunta from India began struggling while swimming near Bagnell Dam at Lake of the Ozarks.
A man identified as Shiva D. Kelligari, 25, from India, dove into the water to assist Kunta. He went under and did not resurface. The Miller County Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
Just after 9a.m. Sunday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Dive Team recovered Kelligari's body.
