Just before 3:30 a.m., Monday, the Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center (Dispatch) was notified that an 18-year-old male arrived at a local hospital suffering from a single gunshot wound, according to Deputy Abigail Christian. The victim was transported to a Kansas City area hospital with serious injuries.
Deputies with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office located the crime scene in the 3900 block of SE Memory Point near Shelter House 3 at Lake Shawnee. Authorities have not reported an arrest of additional details.
