Police: 3 shot outside their rooms at Kansas motel

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a motel shooting in Wichita.

Just after 1 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a shooting call at the Afton Motel, 855 S. Broadway, according to officer Charley Davidson.

Upon arrival, officers located a 26-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, and a 60-year-old man who all had sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.  They were all taken to an area hospital for medical treatment.

The investigation revealed the three victims heard shots being fired outside of the motel, and when they exited their rooms, they were shot.

Investigators are currently working to determine all the circumstances of what occurred in this incident.
