SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting.

Just after 10 p.m. Friday, police responded to a shooting call at a home in the 1300 block of north Volutsia in Wichita, according to officer Charley Davidson.

Upon arrival, officers located a 56-year-old man who had been shot.  He was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation revealed unknown suspects began shooting at the residence, striking the victim.  Several other individuals inside the home were not injured.

This was not a random incident, according to Davidson. Police have not reported an arrest.
